Fear…. What is this unknown thing we all have?
FEAR IS…
An unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm
Be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or harmful. (lexico.com)
THIS IS WHAT FEAR ACTUALLY IS…

We are literally scared of God, because Zues, in every movie we see, shoots lightning…
We are afraid of leaving our parents house, “How will we make it working for ourselves to survive?”
We do not want to leave that person, even while he is abusing me, because I can not do better….(NOT REFERRING TO DIVORCE)
We can not say to the someone, we love, how we feel, what if they reject us?
These are all fears… Now what does The Bible say?
According to “Fear Not!” 365 Days a Year:
There are references to “Do not Fear” around 103 times… Yet, there are more than 365 scriptures that actually encourage us in the midst of fear…
Why do I mention this at all… Is it because I want to say fear is futile, or that everyone will fear something at some point….

I never really feared anything, not since the last year… Here is why…
“I met someone or something one night when I was about 5 or 6 years old… A thing that sounded like it was part of military, yet seemed stronger than I could ever have thought of… For one week he walked with his army boots in my house… Now he didn’t even trip our alarm system in the house… And worst part… NO-ONE ELSE HEARD THIS… Well the next week the following happened… He was back, this time laughing so loud that it scared me… now he walk like previously and had this evil laugh that only belongs in a movie… Actually thinking about it now, Hollywood has a pretty good idea what evil sound like… AGAIN NO-ONE HEARD IT…. I started to think I was going insane, yet it was not done yet… In the third week he came again… same story… Walk….Evil laugh…. Wait there is more…. A voice… IT ACTUALLY COULD SPEAK… He claimed: ‘I have you all trapped’…”
This might freak you out, but after the third week I could identify the trespasser… IT WAS THE DEVIL AKA SATAN…
When that was realized I stopped fearing… At one stage I watch an action thriller… 18 age restriction and decently scary… I did not even fear it… I walked in the dark while grown-ups were scared to death…

Now in the last year I started to open up… I started trusting this one girl, who today is my best friend…
AND MY FEARS ARE OF HURTING HER, LOSING HER, BEING REJECTED BY HER AND SEEING HER STRUGGLE AND BEING UNHAPPY…
I am not boasting, I am though saying fear is normal… I am learning how to LOVE LIKE GOD… Why?

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18 NIV)
But this also give me the idea that fear is the opposite of love… I thought the opposite of love is hate…
Lets see… What do you hate? Your girlfriend’s best guy friend? Because you think you may lose her to him?
I hate TV, because I see all the stuff that can destroy peoples lives… Nude people on many channels, because everyone says “Sex Sells”… Advertisements no one has any control over… Indoctrination to live a certain lifestyle… NON OF WHICH I BELIEVE IS OF GOD…
I just showed you two different fears, one being a guy who hates due to fear, and one who hates due to what God has revealed… My hate for TV is due to seeing what is glorified and who is worshiped on the TV… You can see my post “The TV god” on my view on TV.
Now I will give a definition of fear from the Bible…
Now fear is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 KJV)
This is not right… You are misquoting scripture here… This is against the Bible…
Was this your thought pattern? I believe it would have been mine, because I know this scripture by heart and actually reads:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 KJV)
Let’s look at something related to this concept of fear:
Do you fear poverty and are you poor?
Do you fear death and are you overly careful?
Do you fear loss and are you over protective?
I am not going to say much on this…
YET THE BIBLE SAYS: (“FEAR OF GOD” BIBLE VERSES)
Fear God… the only fear that is Biblical… THE FEAR OF GOD…
YET,…
If we feared God, would we not serve HIM even more so?
I have been in the presence of God, IT IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART… He has all reason to be feared as a God… The fullness of who He is, made many fall to their faces, even in the Bible…
When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.” (Exodus 20:18-19 NIV)
“After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai. When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went over to look more closely, he heard the Lord’s voice: ‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.’ Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look. (Acts 7:30-32 NIV)
There are many more of these….

I am going to end with the following…
I looked at the top 10 fears (http://listverse.com/2011/09/30/top-10-strong-human-fears/):
Fear OF:
10) Losing your freedom – OK, we are in the bondage of sin since birth… Thus we need Christ to be free…
9) The Unknown – How did you get here today? You needed to face some unknowns to be here today…
8) Pain – Pain is inevitable… This is promised… We will get hurt, but we have to learn from the pain…
7) Disappointment – We will unfortunately always disappoint someone… now we should always try and mend the friendships… WE CANNOT PLEASE EVERYONE
6) Misery – GOD IS OUR SOURCE AND WE SHOULD NOT LACK… WHO IS YOUR SOURCE?
5) Loneliness – The Lord says: “I will never leave you nor forsake you”
4) Ridicule – People ridicule those who they admire, but cannot find the words to ask for help…
3) Rejection – Some people in our lives should not be there, if they reject you… It might be time to move on… Just be sure you leave with your peace in tact…
2) Death – It is inevitable that we will all die… Every living thing in creation is born, and will die… In Genesis we find that God actually says His Spirit will not stay forever…
1) Failure – We all will fail at some point… Failure is only failure when you do not learn from it… Otherwise it is actually a success…
God bless… Do not fear anything but God
