According to Biology:
According to Biology one of the characteristics of being alive is to grow…
Now lets put the image at the top in context:
“Do not be afraid of growing slowly; only be afraid of not growing”
If you are not growing, according to science, you are dead…
As it is called, Mother Nature:

Now nature has a few tricks to teach us about growth…
Lets start with Summer:

In this time the tree is growing in full swing… Fast…
In Autumn:

In this time it seems like the tree is busy dying… Leaves fall off and growth slows down…
In Winter:

In this time it seems like there is no life, yet growth is there, yet very slow…
In Spring:

In this time life seems to come back into the tree, beauty comes back and all the leaves are coming back…
Why trees?

If we look at trees, we see age rings… Every year is signified by a dark and light area, but why?
Like mentioned earlier, there are times in the year where the tree grows faster, the light areas, and times where the trees grow slower, the dark areas.
Is there any significance to this? Yes… Every person has seasons in their life-time…
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Wait, but this has no significance to the tree…
Now in a tree wounds can be seen… As in the image below…

Why do I mention this… We all have wounds in our life… Hurts and pains that mended us into the way we are today… Things that made our decisions what it is today… And some of this is deeply rooted…
Now if a tree goes through times of slow and fast growth, shouldn’t we also go through this?
Now a tree which burnt was hurt, it has felt pain… And unfortunately it does mean that sometimes we will also feel pain when we are going through stuff… Many times we need to go and handle the pain, which means we need to open that pain to heal it…
Look at a physical wound… If you get hurt somehow, and the wound is not cleaned, the wound will not really heal and remain septic… Yet cleaning a wound will make the wound heal faster…
Pain is not always a bad thing, but if pain is not dealt with, the pain can turn into something which is destructive and could have bitterness to effect…
God bless… Remember…
“Do not be afraid of growing slowly; only be afraid of not growing”
