Well… We are all looking for the truth… But what is this so called truth…
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free (John 8:32 NASB)
Now 4 questions arise:
- How can truth set any man free?
- What are we enslaved to?
- If question 2 is valid, does this mean we are actually in need of this freedom, if we have freedom of choice, so-called free will?
- How can this truth be received?
I will attempt to answer these questions, and as I go I will ask for guidance from God, my Father, Jesus, my Brother, and the Holy Spirit, my Friend.
How can truth set any man free?
Now there is a huge difference between truth and facts… The facts are:
We are in a permanent battle for our lives and the lives of those we care about
There is currently war somewhere in the world
There are people who are starving
There are people who do not have this truth…
THESE ARE ALL FACTS… not truth….
To be honest, the truth will be:
God is a healer.
God is real, and He love you and care for you.
God thinks you are truly amazing, to die for. (Actually so amazing He already died for you… WOW)
God will do anything to reach out to you…
God is not a genie, not the go-to guy when you just want something…
He wants relationship with you…
He told me to pray for people and tells me how to blog… I do not know, yet I do blog and I listen to HIS guidance..
These are truths….
Why are they not real then… Why are people still starving and struggling? Why is there evil in this world?
This is what God reminded me off just now:
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke
Well coming back… What is this truth?
This truth is the SPOKEN TRUTH THAT GOD SPEAKS. It is written down as well… It is called the Bible….
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV)
That means God is speaking, and can speak to anyone…
If you wonder how to do this… I dare you: “Dare to call Him Father”… If you want a testimony read the book: “I dared to call Him Father”. I read it, and this is what I can say I experience on some days… But the experience is not a necessity, I do not experience Him all the time, yet I know He is here right now…
GOD’S TRUTH CAN SET YOU FREE… AND IT WILL, WHEN YOU EMBRACE IT…
What are we enslaved to?
Now we all are enslave to something… We were born in sin.
Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. (Psalm 51:5)
The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. (Psalm 58:3)
Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. (Ephesians 2:3 NASB)
So we are enslaved to sin, since the day of our birth… Why do we run to drugs… Alcohol…. Or stuff which is not needed, to make us feel better…
Why is prostitution there if people are not hurt?
I would like to pose the following:
If we knew who we are, WHAT GOD MADE US TO BE, Would we still need this?
Would woman, who are made in the image of God, have to become prostitutes to be used and abused by men who have just been hurt in their past?
Oh, but you pay… Would you hit your wife like that? IF GOD MADE MAN TO PROTECT THE WOMAN?
“The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,” says the LORD Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful. (Malachi 2:16 NIV)
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. (Ephesians 5:23 KJV)
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15 NIV)
Men decide how the family is lead… Men have the decision to destroy or build the family… (note that family is not dictated by men, but lead… Men and woman should work together)
Does this mean we are actually in need of this freedom even if we have freedom of choice, so-called free will?
You still remain in control of your choices. If you choose to serve God, you may… God is a Gentleman and will not force you to do anything you are not comfortable with… Do know, He will not just give up… He will however try to reach you, as He cares about you…
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live (Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV)
God gives you the option to choose, yet urges you to choose life.. Yeah choose life….
The decision will remain yours to the end of days…
When you do decide to follow Christ, Follow HIM fully… He will give you what you need, but you will always have to submit to him… Get off the throne of you life and give over to Christ, if you do decide to follow HIM…
How can this truth be received?
We ask God for this truth… We do not even have to do anything to prove we are worth it… God made it so that it never depended on our performance and actions that we will be saved, but by a choice to follow him… I am planning to do a post on salvation as well…
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NASB)
This is not a joke, I have peace and I see Him giving me rest daily… And this I will only say because I have tested God in this… I have been with Him, and have total peace… Yet, every time I fall away, I become restless…
A short testimony of my last week… I saw God working, yet people mocked with me, and it hurt… Like I said… I am just human… Then I walked around for a day in utter anger, I actually fought with God about this… Then, WHEN I WAS AT THE POINT OF GIVING UP, GOD MET ME AND COMFORTED ME.. I became instantly calm, and felt God with me… God provided me with what I needed to pass that test… I might have handled it wrong… God still helped me… And He made sure I knew He was there…
Now I am going to say this with confidence:
If you call to God, He will listen, I did it and He came through, He wants it for you to…
Remember that truth can not be changed… God’s TRUTH is set in Stone…
