My original idea for a name was “Where is the Love?”, however the title now is more accurate… Just so you know, I am not saying this is true of all Christians, but it was true about me…
In the last bit God started to talk to me about REAL LOVE, now this is not just the act of loving someone because God says it… BUT THE ACT OF LOVING THAT WAY WHILE BEING IN LOVE… The fact is many of us have liked someone, and many have had someone they were in love with in a relationship… I did not have it, but somehow I know how it feels… and I will explain now…
I know by now, observing people who are in a relationship, that they are very keen on letting everyone know who the special person in their life is… You want to shout it out to the world and you want everyone to know how you feel about this person…
Now another explanation would be: If you get a new job or that promotion you have been looking for a while? Would you keep it to yourself or would you want to shout it from the rooftops?
WHY ARE WE THEN SO ASHAMED OF GOD THAT WE KEEP OUR MOUTHS SHUT ABOUT HIM? IS IT NOT HIM THAT GAVE US ALL THESE THINGS? IS HE NOT THE ONE WHO LOVED US FIRST?
I am seriously getting agitated by the way people act around God…. Almost as if Zeus is God…
Do not do anything wrong or you will be struck by lighting…
LETS BE REAL HERE FOR A SECOND… If that was the case I would not be able to write this at all… I probably would not even be born… Because God would have started with Adam and Eve….
Psalm 103 says it clearly that HE loves us… He is slow to anger… He is rich in mercy…
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:8 NLT)
“God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him” (1 John 4:9 NLT)
Now back to this original idea…
Are we so confused? God never said you will die when you proclaim Him as God… Now I am not going to joke about this…. I was stuck in this trap for very long…. God loves us so much He gave us His everything, parents out there would know that giving up a kid is impossible…. even for Abraham that was tough… God gave us His Son to die for us…. Now that is not funny at all…. God was not Zeus here… He knew that nothing could keep His Son from Him, but still I believe that He was in tears when His Son had to die…. Just so He could scream: “I LOVE YOU!!!!!”
Now if we love a job so much, that we would shout it to the world and be able to love a person that much, WHY DON’T WE LOVE GOD THAT MUCH???
I am not speaking to everyone, I know that, yet I believe someone has to say something…. And in the last few days this angered me a lot, because not many people do something, yet I know of a few who feels the same thing….
LOVE IS NOT JUST AN ACT….
LOVE IS THE BRIDGE WHERE YOU CHOOSE THAT SOMEONE OR SOMETHING IS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING FOR THEM OR IT, AND BE HAPPY NONETHELESS… And this is where I believe many people might disagree… Love does not mean no emotion…. EMOTION AMPLIFIES BEAUTY… And being in love is not a bad thing at all… NOT LOVING SOMEONE, WHILE BEING IN LOVE IS BAD… THAT IS JUST AN EMOTIONAL ATTRACTION TO THE PERSON…. (This is in context of relationships, friendships also has emotional attractions which is equally as bad) And people get hurt with emotional attractions…. Jesus did not die for us because of an emotional attraction but because He loved us.
God bless… He proclaimed HIS loved for us in public, we do not have to be ashamed of Him…
