So in the last few days I have been in serious war… Now for you to understand this, I will have to use some comparisons…
We all have seen movies like 300 or even Avengers… In each of these there were war… Something like this….

This is what we see on the news, in movies… Yes even in the games we play we are taught about war… Rome Total War, Call of Duty, should I continue?

Now all wars have commonalities, yes… Each wars have at least two opposing parties en most likely each having allies… There are also strategies that are being followed in the war… They do not just walk into a war, and leave their ranks… Those in the front lines have the hardest work… They have to keep every enemy from breaking through. Maybe in the old days we would be talking about hand-to-hand combat, however now the one who has the biggest gun, is in control… According to Tony Stark (Iron Man) the guy who has the weapon that should only be fired once is the winner… Now we have to take all this into consideration… IN OUR WAR… Wait what am I saying now, what war is this?
Sparta had a awesome strategy in their defense (referring to the movie 300)… They were outnumbered… 300 to about 300 000 Persians… Now how could anyone beat that… remember they didn’t win at all but they stood their ground and made sure when they are done they know they took most of the enemy with them…

How come this strategy worked? Was it that they were stronger? faster? smarter? or knew their strengths and the enemy’s weaknesses?
Firstly I am not saying that we are at all able and should by any means go to war and fight… NOT physically that is… You do not need to buy a shield from one or other shop or anything… But AFTER this I hope you realize we are in the midst of war…
The Spartan Army knew and chose their battlefield, luckily they had a choice… We are in this case like the Persian Army who had no idea where our battle will take place… Let’s rephrase: We know where the battle will take place but we have no idea how to fight there, we are not familiar with the battlefield… BUT OUR ALLY AND GREATEST SOURCE OF STRENGTH IS VERY FAMILIAR WITH THIS BATTLEFIELD…
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. (Ephesians 6:12 AMP)
The next thing the Spartan Army had in their favor was their defense… They DID NOT run into the fight and tried to just kill everyone… They had a strategy and the drew them in and waited for them… They had a defense strategy and this is where they stood and waited and they were very patient… And they made their point… because of their defense, the Persian army lost a great part of the soldiers. How does this apply to us?
Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]. (Ephesians 6:13 AMP)
We also have a defense strategy… You mean we can defend on ground we do not know? YES we surely can… We must just consider keeping our ALLY AND GREATEST SOURCE OF STRENGTH close to us… This is the ONLY alliance where you get the extra advantage to know where we fight… Why I CAN say this is, is that our ALLY AND GREATEST SOURCE OF STRENGTH is non other than GOD, who created this battlefield… HE is in charge and we follow him, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND…
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13 NLT)
He already won the war a few thousand years ago… Now if He won the war, why are we fighting?
“Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9 AMP)
God already won the devil… Yes he is beaten and he knows it… Now why is he still roaming around like a hungry lion? Those who have been hunting knows that a wounded animal is more dangerous than any other animal… Now the devil has been beaten and will not be able to recover… However this is when he is most dangerous… Have you ever realized that when you go through emotional stuff, you are normally very defensive and also that you do not really think about what you say? This is a constant state of pain and most times you do not have an idea on how to get out of it?
I know of only a few places where Jesus got mad… but HE NEVER LOST HIS TEMPER… here is how I know this:
And in the temple [enclosure] He found the [a]people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; (John 2:14-15 AMP)
No person who loses his temper will sit and MAKE A WHIP OR LASH OF CHORDS… Jesus sat down and MADE one… Meaning that HE thought through the process and knew exactly what He was going to do at that point… HE NEEDED TO CLEANSE THE TEMPLE THAT DAY… And we still need to do it today… We just need to know our weapons and we do have a few in the arsenal which God provides us… I will expand more in the next few weeks… So we can be prepared for the war we are in.

God bless… You are amazing…
