A while back I went to watch “The Lego Movie”. I realized how much the movie represents the real world, the world around me… The world we are in is not a fair place and we all want to fit into this world…
In the beginning of this movie the one guy, Emmet, wakes up and goes directly to the bookshelf to get a book… The instruction manual to their lifestyle…
“The instructions to fit in, have everybody like you and always be happy”
Wouldn’t we all want to have this book? A guide to easily be loved by everyone and always be happy… this sounds like a real deal, doesn’t it? Would you like to know a little secret? There is no such guide, no easy way to make it, no easy way to become a multi-billionaire… We can try to follow the books, books with titles like “10 Simple Step to Become the Best You Ever” or “Life for Dummies”… But all these books have one flaw; they give you the author’s way to success…
I only have one question: DO YOU WANT THE TRUTH OR DO YOU WANT TO LIVE WITH A COMFORTABLE LIE?
Now if you are willing to live with a comfortable lie, I would suggest you close now… Because I do try to keep to the truth… And sometimes the truth is very uncomfortable…
What if I say there is a way to success? NO SHORTCUTS, NO EASY WAYS… But it does give you what you are looking for… I know this might sound too good to be true… But it is true though…
There is this old saying I have heard:
”The dictionary is the only place where success is before work.”
We will have to work in life to see success. This means that sometimes we will have to sacrifice somewhat to be successful. Here is where this is successful; if we get success in what we love, then sacrifice is not sacrifice at all…
On the topic of sacrifice: Sacrifice will always be hard, but always worth it… I am some days feeling the pain of sacrifice and that is hard to bear, but the times I do sacrifice, I do have to fight for it. I some days wish it was easier, but I would do it all over again… Those who know me, know I do not open to anyone at all, BUT when I open up, I trust more than I should think is good. AND WHEN I OPEN UP, I ALSO WOULD DO ALMOST ANYTHING TO PROTECT THOSE I CARE FOR… I would try to always be there…
Now how does this all come to the Lego Movie? While Emmet was living the way this instructions told him to live, he did sacrifice. HE SACRIFICED HIS FREE WILL AND HIS LIFE TO DO WHAT HE WAS TOLD… He woke up acted like everything was 100% fine, yet he would have been better off if he at least knew that he could choose… What if you had no way to choose and just follow instructions?
At a point while Emmet was watching TV he had a thought and when the next episode started he literally forgot what he was thinking of… Isn’t this what is happening to us daily? Stuff on TV destroying the way the next generation thinks, and we believe we have no way of stopping it… I believe there is a way we can reach through and stop this… And I believe it will take a lot of sacrifice on our part… We are able to stop this…
The Anima Series is one of the groups of people who are using the same thing as the rest of the world to reach people… Media, arts, music, poetry, all things that could break through to the next generation, because to us, who are the next generation, these are the things that matter… When last did you hear of something GOOD that happened in the world? I referring to something that made your jaw drop to the ground because you can’t believe that it is possible for something that GOOD to exist?
Here is where it gets interesting to me… In the movie there was this prophecy: There would be a special guy that finds the “Piece of Resistance” (as it is named on the movie). The one who finds this would be a master builder (a specialist in the field of building). He would be the most talented, most interesting, and most extraordinary person in the universe. And he would be capable of amazing things.
Now Emmet found the “Piece of Resistance”, but he was just an ordinary guy, who everyone found boring and way too normal… He fell into the trap we all fall into at some point; we are not worth anything… I have GOOD news to you: YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN ANYONE CAN EVER TAKE FROM YOU… No matter how people degrade you and destroy you, they can’t do anything to take your worth away…
I have fallen into the trap of not being good enough, various times and I am not saying I will win soon… That is not the goal, but every time I get out of it I am stronger. And someday, this will not hurt as much as it does now. When I feel rejected, I withdraw. When I feel someone has hurt me, I withdraw. When I feel someone mistreated me OR judged me OR hates me OR anything that I feel is someone’s was of trying to get me out of their life, I withdraw.
Emmet was the “Special”, the guy who fulfilled the prophecy, and yet… He was none of those things that was mentioned in the prophecy… except the finder of the “Piece of Resistance”… WOW??? But how can this be? Well by accident he was seen as someone very special… fulfilling some of the characteristics of the prophecy, but he was soon found as a fake… PLEASE NOTE: When people think you are a fake, you do not have to believe them… You know what you did, and if you were wrong in any way, go and fix it; otherwise you should have a clear conscious… AND do not tell someone that they are fake, just because you do not like their style or when they are going through a tough time, this does tend to destroy someone (I would know, it happened to me).
Now as this movie progressed, I found it more and more interesting… there was at one point this world where everyone was just happy… They didn’t want to think negative thoughts because they were taught that it was wrong… I have seen people who hold a strong front… but I could also see the burden they carry, hear how they are struggling underneath the words they are actually saying and even hear it in the way they send me message…
I would like to say, always being happy is NOT the object of life, but rather to always have joy… JOY COMES FROM GOD AND RISES UP FROM INSIDE, SO YOU CAN CHOOSE IT, EVEN WHEN IT GOES BAD… It doesn’t mean you keep all the bad inside, which normally destroys you… AND THAT IS PAINFUL…
Sometimes even your craziest ideas have a good meaning and in the end could help someone… I do believe God would do (and He also did) crazy things… Just look at what He SACRIFICED… He gave us His ONLY Son, to be crucified so that we could live in the end… (John 3:16). He cares so much about you that HE knew you would sometimes need help… So He put people around you to do so… Not all people know how to help, so when you want help, find someone who you feel you can trust…
I believe that this movie was created and breathed by GOD to encourage people… You have a choice in life… and no one can choose for you… You may think all your ideas failed in life, but sometimes I believe that every failure in life is there to let us go further than in the past, even if we only fail… I am going to link to a video of The Anima Series to show what I mean…

THE PROPHECY IS MADE UP, BUT IT’S ALSO TRUE. THE PROPHECY IS ABOUT ALL OF US. RIGHT NOW, IT’S ABOUT YOU. AND YOU STILL CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING. – Remember without Christ we are nothing… HE who is in you, IS GREATER than he who is in the world…
