What I saw the Father do…
So Jesus said, “I speak to you timeless truth. The Son is not able to do anything from himself or through my own initiative. I only do the works that I see the Father doing, for the Son does the same works as his Father. (John 5:19)
What does it mean to “I only do the works that I see the Father doing”? This is what I started to think about last night… And something came to mind which I didn’t expect.
I saw The Father forgive someone who I would never be able to forgive. I saw Him use someone I would have thought to be the most unlikely candidate to be used by God. And you wouldn’t believe who this is… This is me….Yes I find it very hard to forgive myself, and even to think that God could ever use me… From the start He used me to help those who needed it, but I forgot…Yes I mess up. I AM NOT PERFECT. When I do I struggle, I tend to hate myself, because I am weak.
I am not as strong as many see me, when I allow GOD to work through me, I tend to look like I am strong and invincible. Yes I did say allow God to work through me… God is not One who forces a person to do something…
Who does God use?
What if the person we look at in strength, is the same person when he is weak? God doesn’t always use the strong and wise to prove a point, He uses the weak and foolish.
Brothers, consider your calling: Not many are wise from a human perspective, not many powerful, not many of noble birth. Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world—what is viewed as nothing—to bring to nothing what is viewed as something,(1 Corinthians 1:26-28)
I am not saying God doesn’t use the strong or wise… God used Samson whom was strong as can be… However I am saying that God is MORE THAN WILLING to use anyone… We should NOT LOOK DOWN ON SOMEONE… Especially if we perceive them to be “inferior” to us in some way… God made everyone equal, YES, HE MADE US ALL IN HIS IMAGE.
God was, and still is, great to me. He gave me someone who cares. A person who never gives up on me and who will always try and help when I am weak. Try to find someone, who you believe is in need of someone to talk to. We are able “To Save a Life“.
Enjoy your day and remember… God made you to be amazing. He loves You… God bless…
